como se usa Since

SINCE


Se usa como una referencia a un punto de tiempo cuando algo empezó. En español suele decirse ‘desde’ o ‘desde que’.

We’ve had this car since January / Tenemos este coche desde enero.

Como se forma el preterito perfecto

¿COMO SE FORMA EL PRETÉRITO PERFECTO?

Tiempo verbal que se utiliza para expresar acciones que han tenido lugar en el pasado, pero en un pasado muy reciente.

Se forma con el presente del verbo (to) have, has o have + el participio del verbo de la acción: Regular (Infinitivo+ed) o Irregular (tercera columna de la lista de verbos irregulares).

Ej.: I have played with your sister. ( He jugado con tu hermana ).

Forma negativa del Préterito Perfecto: Sujeto+ has not o hasn't /have not o haven't + Verbo de la acción en participio + Complementos.

Ej.: I have not played with your sister ( No he jugado con tu hermana )

Forma interrogativa del Pretérito Perfecto: Has/Have+ Sujeto+ Verbo de la acción en participio+ Complementos.

Ej.: Have you played with my sister? ( ¿has jugado con mi hermana?)

FOR or sincer

FOR and SINCE

We use Present Perfect tense to talk about action which started in the past and continues up to the present.

Examples
I have had this computer for about a year.
How long have you been at this school?
I haven't seen Julia since September.

We use for with a period of time, for example: a few days, half an hour, two years. We use since with the time when the action started, for example: last year, June 8, I met you.


Examples:

1. Mercé went to Barcelona on Monday. (be)

Mercé has been to Barcelona since on Monday.

2. Dave bought that CD player six months ago. (have)

Dave has had that CD player for six months .

3. We arrived here at five o'clock. (be)

We have been here since five o'clock.

4. Manolo came to this school three years ago. (be)

Manolo has been to this school for three years.

5. I came to this town five years ago. (live)

I have lived to this town for five years.
